The 36th edition of Better Tourism Lisbon (BTL) will take place from February 25 to March 1, 2026, at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) in Parque das Nações, Lisbon. Organized by the AIP Foundation, BTL is the largest tourism fair in Portugal and one of the most established tourism events internationally, bringing together tourism professionals, exhibitors, destinations, and visitors from around the world. The event operates as a key meeting point for networking, business development, and knowledge exchange across the global tourism sector.
Following its rebrand to Better Tourism Lisbon, BTL 2026 reflects a broader focus on the future of tourism, with emphasis on international growth, workforce development, and diversification of tourism offerings. The 2026 edition will feature Figueira da Foz as the guest municipality and the Algarve as the national guest destination, highlighting regional diversity across leisure, culture, gastronomy, and nature-based tourism. Core themes include innovation and digital transformation, wine tourism, cultural and religious tourism, health and wellness, and LGBTI+ travel, positioning BTL as a platform for discussing long-term priorities shaping the tourism industry.
